7 Stops in Downtown DC

My DC trip went exactly according to plan: Friday and Saturday I punished my liver; Sunday was my pivot day and chance to hang out with my old roommates; and Monday I had business meetings. I walked all over downtown Monday, carrying my heavy wool coat over my arm because it was much to warm to wear it. My stops took me to:

  • lunch with my clients at Dirty Martini, ordering a seared ahi salad and discussing the plans for their large upcoming trade show in China.
  • the Mecklenner Epstein offices, where I caught up with all my old bosses and fished for more work.
  • my therapist's office, in the building that always smelled like stir fry, for a little psychodynamic tune-up.
  • a Latino grocery, to return last night's Redbox.
  • The Hamilton, for beers with Scott and Shephard.
  • Sixth Engine, for more pregaming with the Georgetown crew.
  • Verizon Center, for Georgetown vs. Notre Dame, who we beat 59-41

Then back to Shephard's place, where he baked me cookies to see me off as I flew back to California on Tuesday.
