Barbecue You Don't Need Teeth to Eat

"Jay-Z didn't like walking out the front and around to the side. So he paid to have a door put in. He had that door built it in one day."

Barbecue You Don't Need Teeth to Eat

This is Brian Mays slicing brisket at Sam's Bar-B-Cue in East Austin. He's been making barbecue at Sam's for over 37 years. And, after a special on Food Network, he was just discovered by Hollywood.

He told us how Nicholas Cage asked him to play a part in his upcoming movie, Joe, that just finished filming last year. And how Jay-Z hosted a birthday party at his BBQ joint.

"Yeah, Jay-Z was here with 200 people and he wanted to eat out on that patio," said Brian. "But we didn't have a door there. And Jay-Z didn't like walking out the front and around to the side. So he paid to have a door put in that day. He had that door put in. One day."

We were impressed by the story, but we were blown away by the brisket, billed as "barbecue you don't need teeth to eat."

Truth in advertising.
