CRC?

One of the things I really loved in DC was pub trivia (DC has a lot of Irish bars) and when I discoverd that there were just as many options, on just as many nights of the week, to do trivia in San Francisco, I quickly made it my thing. And, as you'll recall, our first night as roommates, St. F, Diego and I all stumbled into a game of trivia and met a couple of very cute girls.

So last night, I got a big group of kids together for trivia at Danny Coyle's (just down the street from Mad Dog). Scott had all the sports questions, Diego and Horse dominated the music round, Rock covered general knowledge, and Ash and St. F contributed a few key pop culture answers.

We took 2nd place, won a bottle of pinot noir, and downed it right there.

The question we ended up arguing the most over was: "What country does CRC stand for in the Olympics?" Our first thought was Costa Rica, but then St. F suggested Congo, Rock thought it could be Curacao ("Curacao is a Dutch territory, not a country!" I told him), Croatia was a popular guess, as was the Czech Republic. The answer, of course, was Costa Rica. Somethings you just don't need to overthink.
