It's Hard to Write Everyday

The #1 reason I wanted to write this blog is also the thing that makes it hardest to do: I write for a living, so it's not exactly relaxing. I do a lot of writing everyday, but it's not for me, it's for clients, so I decided to launch this blog to make sure I wrote some thing for me everyday.

But as hobbies go, it's kind of stupid. Like everyone else, I need to kick my feet up and unwind after a long day at work. But while you might enjoy cooking to get your mind off of a long day of event planning, I enjoy writing to relax after a long day of... writing.

It would be like a plumber coming home at the end of the day, changing out of his overalls into his pajamas, and getting under the sink just to you know, tinker around. (In case you were wondering: Yes, plumber PJs ride just below the ass crack.)

Assemblyline

So I fell about four days behind again, mostly because I've been busy at work. A project manager I work with always refers to what I do as "generating content." Not "writing," but generating content for the website or the brochure, or whatever. It makes me feel very mechanical, like I'm on an assembly line in that Charlie Chaplin movie Modern Times.

Some days, I just don't want to blog because it just feels like generating more content.
