OMG, You Too!?

Yesterday I went to crank out an article at Matching Half. I ordered my ice tea, sat down and saw the guy next to me hunched over his iPad, with earbuds in.

Then I see, over this shoulder, that he's watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine! I immediately know what episode – it's one I've recently watched on my iPad – Trials and Tribble-ations, and Dax is in her little red mini-skirt.

Now, I've been watching Deep Space Nine on the iPad in the privacy of my bedroom. This big guy – tall, big belly, big heard, wearing only a t-shirt and gym shorts – is watching Star Trek in the middle of a very trendy, very stylish San Francisco cafe.

And he's laughing UPROARIOUSLY. I mean, it's a funny episode, believe me, I know. But everyone else in the cafe is silent, clicking away on their laptops, and here this guy is, bellowing with laughter at Star Trek, and so publicly.

Now Corin would have gone up to this guy and high-fived him, chatted up how great that episode is. I, of course, put my head down and ignored him.
