Got a text from Rocco right after I got on the 5 headed home today:

Nick's for taco Tuesday? Leaving now, can give you ride.

I've lived in SF for over a year and had never done Taco Tuesday, so I got right off the bus and headed for Nick's. It didn't make sense for Rock to come downtown in his car to pick me up and then drive back to Polk, so I looked up directions from Google Transit and got another pleasant suprise: the fastest way there was to take the Powell-Hyde cable car.

I have ridden a cable car before, but since I've moved here, I've never had to. Tonight was the first night I got Nick's and the first night I rode the cable car like a native.
